1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Temp BTC (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Temp BTC is a free, non-custodial Bitcoin wallet that generates disposable Bitcoin addresses. All wallet logic — including private key generation, transaction signing, and storage — runs entirely in your browser. We do not create user accounts, collect personal information, or hold, control, or have access to your funds or private keys at any time.
3. No Custody; Your Responsibility for Private Keys
Because the Service is non-custodial, you are solely responsible for safeguarding your private key and any address the Service generates. Your wallet may be stored, encrypted, in your browser's local storage for convenience; it is never transmitted to us or any third party. If you clear your browser storage, lose access to your device, or otherwise lose the private key, any Bitcoin associated with that address may be permanently and irrecoverably lost. We have no ability to recover lost keys, reverse transactions, or restore access to funds.
4. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You must be legally permitted to use cryptocurrency services under the laws that apply to you. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, financing of terrorism, evasion of sanctions, or any other activity prohibited by applicable law. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of the Service complies with the laws of your jurisdiction, including any applicable tax obligations.
5. No Financial Advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are volatile and speculative assets. You should conduct your own research and consult independent professional advisors before transacting.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service retrieves balances, deposit history, and fee estimates from, and broadcasts transactions through, the third-party mempool.space API. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, accuracy, or performance of mempool.space or any other third-party service the Service may rely on now or in the future.
7. Irreversibility of Transactions
Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public, decentralized blockchain and cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded once broadcast. Double-check every recipient address and amount before sending — mistyped addresses, sending to an unsupported address type, or sending the wrong amount cannot be undone by us.
8. No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any address, transaction, or balance data will be accurate at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, OR PRIVATE KEYS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT, IF ANY, YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE — WHICH, AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, IS ZERO.
10. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction from which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
